4Extreme energy. Weight loss. Appetite controlled.

One pill with a glass of water is energizing. Two, I get shakey hands and feel like I've drank 14 bottles of Mountain Dew. I bought this product to help boost my energy and control cravings/ appetite so that I can lose a little extra weight and boost my dieting effects. Overall, I would recommend this product, it does EXACTLY what it promises. And, I've lost about 5 pounds this past couple weeks without much effort at all.

I used to be on a physician supervised diet program that used phendimetrazines to help their clients lose weight. Unfortunately, it cost $80 a WEEK to get my pills, some generic fat burners, and a whole bunch of silly things that are unimportant. My point is, I took the real thing and I took Fastin. I can say with confidence that for not being a real phendimetrazine, it works amazingly for me. But a word of warning, the bottle says you can take 1-2 tablets a day. I made the mistake of taking two at the same time and became very disoriented, sweaty, dizzy, and nauseated. This is a strong pill. I suggest whoever buys this product to start at half a pill to see how they react to it. Again, one pill does the trick for me and the appetite suppression lasts the whole day!!

5Amazing product; really does what it says

This product is great. I've had my fair share of weight loss products over the years. I had a prescription for phentermine, which worked over time, but caused my hair to shed (dr never warned me about that, i read it in my drug book months later). I stopped taking that.
Anyway, I found this drug on the Walgreens website and wen to go buy it. It says take 1-2 pills so I took 2, but it made me really jittery, nervous, and gave me palpitations. I dropped it down to 1 pill in the morning and lunch.
When I first started taking it, it was easy for me to eat smaller portions. As time progressed, I noticed by lunch time I wasn't hungry at all, and had to force myself to eat. I thought it was a good thing. I don't remember how much weight I lost, but within the 15 days I took it, I could see a major difference in my waist (more smooth, not much body fat around); my body had a big change overall. Basically, I could fit into 2 sizes smaller than what I used to before I started the pill.
I recommend this pill to anyone who really wants to lose weight. The only thing is, you have to train your body to eat right and exercise daily (a 30-minute walk to start off if you're lazy). I LOVE this pill, though. I'm going to Orlando in a few weeks, so I'll be stocking up on these pills to help lose the extra weight that still needs to be off.

5Besides weight loss

Been taking Fastin for a couple months now. Something strange/wonderful happened when I ran out of the first bottle. I've had foot problems for years, due to working on a concrete floor and steel toe boots. For a while my feet were happy not giving me any problems, then all of a sudden pain pain pain! My plantar tendon hurt and just feet sore in general. Couldn't figure out why because last week they were fine. It got so bad that I almost made a DR. appt. Well I got another bottle and after the second day back on the juice...No more pain!!! Last weekend I purposely didn't take Fastin sat. or sun. And then mon., tues were hell on my feet. By Wednesday all's well again (I started Fastin again on mon.) It's GOT to be the Fastin. It's worth it to me just for the foot relief. But I've also lost 25lbs and LOVE the energy boost without the jitters I say good job Hightech!

Note to newbies....Start with a 1/2 pill and go from there, my first time I took a whole one and thought I'd smoked a bunch o crack!! UmmmHmmmm

5This is the product for me

I totally love that I am looking leaner and smarter right now after using Carb Stopper Extreme for 3 months. It has not been an easy run though but I persisted and I finally got the results I wanted. During my first month, I only lost a paltry 5 pounds which is abominable to me. I nearly gave up on this product to pursue after the next big thing. Finally, I decided to heed the advice on the bottle and took the capsules for a full stretch of 2 months and since then I have never looked back. I suddenly began to lose weight faster than before and by the end of the second month, I have lost a total of 20 pounds. Great! By the third month, I am 33 pounds less than when I started. Had I given up when I wanted to I wouldn’t have experienced this weight loss.

5started to work right away.

I am a 23 yrd old female was at 185lbs. After 2 kids I am just dying to get into my pre pregnanacy body and weight. Which was 125lbs. Not sure why dieting and exercise was not working for me, which was kind of frustrating doing all the work and not seeing results. I came to a conclusion it was either I hit a dreaded plateau or I have a really slow metabolism. For me it is not hard to get off my butt and be active or watch out for fatty foods. My last resort was to incorporate a diet pill of some sort. I was looking at another diet pill which I purchesed but has not gotten here its called Leptopril. I scrolled down and saw the customer who bought this item also bought this pill called my attention carb stopper. I surely read the reviews 1st and I took a chance and bought it. This got here on march 24 2012(saturday morning) I took it half an hour before eating. I have been taking it about twice a day. Today is march 27 2012(tuesday). I weighed myself in the morning I am down to 179 lbs. That is 6 lbs in what a couple of days. So far I have had no side effects with this pill at all. I would recommend this pill, it is working for me, I hope this has helped you to make a decision. A plus, which I love from amazon always the products get here within a couple of days of ordering it. I will try to keep updating the results.

5I have been getting great results

I have been using this product along with a weight loss pill for a month now and I am getting amazing results without even changing my diet. I have already began to lose weight and I am more energized than I have been since I was a teenager. This product doesn't have any caffeine in it so it is the perfect product to use along with a weight loss pill to get the maximum results. 4side effects are noticeable but tolerable

I'll agree with the other reviewers that the most noticeable improvement in this product is the presence of the unpleasant side effects I would experience with other fat burners I've taken in the past is less in this one. Not nonexistent, just a lot more tolerable. Be careful if you have never taken this kind of product as it can cause you to feel dizzy and jittery if you don't have a tolerance for it. I've been taking one type of thermogenic or another for the past 15 years so these pills did not phase me much.

I still prefer green tea extract and yohimbine, Yohimbine HCL 90 Capsules + Green Tea Extract 60 Capsules With FREE Pure Caffeine Powder 25 Grams. I was scheduled for surgery back then, that's how bad of shape i was in, avoided it completely and lost over 100 lbs in less than 2 1/2 years. These two energy pills are one of the very few supplements I ever took that did not effect me in a negative way, I can't recommend them enough for the energy boost without the side effects.

3Too intense

I'm 34 years old, around 195 lbs, and usually fluctuate between 11% and 14% body fat. After cycling off BELDT: Force Thermogenic, which helped me cut down to 12% at 185 lbs pretty easily, I started using this Hydroxycut. In fact, I really only switched over to because my lifting partner gave me the last half of his bottle. I'm not going to say it's ineffective, since I had loads of energy and was able to shed another couple pounds (didn't check body fat % this time), but after a while I'd had enough of the jitters and stomach cramps. At first, I though it was an adverse reaction but apparently a lot of other people had the same experience, even my buddy. Might work for some, but I'll be switching back.

4A great way to lose weight - If you can stomach the side effects!

I just started taking this supplement and can feel it working instantly. I will echo what other reviewers say regarding the side effects - they suck. I am not much of a caffiene drinker, but have taken many different thermos, so I knew what to expect. If you are new to thermos, you may not want to start here. This reminds me of the Xenadrine I used to take back in college before it was yanked because of ephedrine - my friends and I jokingly refer to them as 'Bitch Pills'. They will make your heart race, make you feel nauseous, warm/tingly, edgy/irritable and DEAR GOD do not take these within 8 hours of bed time - seriously. I took one at 5pm yesterday (stupid me) and I was up until 4am. I plan to stick with the 1 pill a day for at least a week, and possibly work up to 1 pill twice a day. I do not see how any human being could stomach 4 of these pills a day without being utterly miserable or dead. The appetite suppressant works great for me - which is a double-edged sword. I have to force myself to eat because the thought of food is not remotely appealing, but I need to eat something to combat the nausea...but then I eat and feel like throwing up (and sometimes do).

Rave review, right?? I put up with these side effects because a.) they do get a better with time and b.) this stuff WORKS. I'm a 5'9" female, 32 y/o, 155 lbs and I fully expect to blast through those last stubborn 10 lbs in 3 weeks. To me, it's worth it to reach my goal. Unpleasant, but worth it. Happy heart pounding, everyone!

5Why This is the one of the best Protein Supplement in the Market, A critical analysis from a Bio technologist

As a fitness enthusiast and a Science guy, I am always curious to find the real value of a supplement. What works and what does not work. More importantly, I believe the analysis of a product should be based on strong scientific knowledge base, combined with good old fashion practical use of the product, and only then one should come down to the final conclusion.

This product review and analysis was conducted based on 3 parameters

A. Constituents: What comes in the box, the real value of the product
B. Assimilation: How does this product goes down in your system, how much of it will your body assimilate
C. Usability : Long term usability and and effects.

I believe this is one of the best supplements available in the market today. The Question is Why?

1. The Quality of protein. Since its manufactured by Glanbia (who owns Optimum nutrition), this product is coming straight from the manufacturer. This is a BIG factor, 90% of the protein supplement companies source their raw materials from third parties, often importing them from third world countries.

100 grams of Whey protein isolate from one source is NOT equal to the 100 gram Whey protein isolate from another. Inferior resources usually have high level of Heavy metals and cattle Hormones. This has been elucidated from recent tests and published widely in the consumer reports. ON aced this report with minimum levels of such harmful residues. Reason is simple, they make their own whey in a plant which has to abide all regulations under US law.

Just for the point of reference. I am from India, and therefore know first hand how many poorly regulated cheese plants export their whey to Europe and US. So make sure your Whey protein is coming from Whey extracted in the US!!

The Additives

2. Ideally, I will prefer the protein powder with no artificial sweetener. But lets face it, such a product will be hard to sell. However, Golds whey keep artificial sweeter to minimum. If you check Bodybuilding.com forums, lots of consumer complain that its not sweet enough. I request all such folks to realise that is actually good for them, if you feel this product is not sufficiently sweet for you. Its better you use lesser amount of hydrant (Milk, water, juice etc), or add a tiny bit of Honey.

The Profile- The Myth about Isolate vs a Blend

3. This might be hard for some people to digest. However, the truth is 96% people who use Whey supplements, will have no additional benefits of taking an Isolate vs a Blend. Please note, when I use the word blend, I mean a product lile Golds whey which is well balanced with Whey isolate and Whey Concentrate. (not any junk product form the market). If you take the blend, you might get 1 gram of extra fat or 2 grams of extra carbs which is absolutely nothing. You can burn this by adding 1.5 minute to your jog routine or walking for 2-3 minutes. You will get the same result and effect as the Isolate, so its not worth spending extra refined Isolate. The Isolate rumor is just a Hype created by the supplement industry. I will repeat this again, if your blend is as good as Golds whey i.e you are getting 24 grams per 30 gram scoop, you don't need an Isolate.

Who all comprise the 4% population who can benefit from an Isolate. First people who are extremely lactose Intolerant. I have used the word extremely since all good products add enzymes to digest the little amount of lactose residue in the supplement. Lactose is not a a bad thing, its simply the milk sugar. So if you are highly allergic to Lactose, Isolate will help (they have negligible levels of lactose)

Second tier of people who can benefit from Isolates are professional athletes who are pepping up for an upcoming competition. This competitive set is consuming 5-8+ scoops of Whey protein daily and therefore will benefit from reduction in additional fat or carbs.

4. Why go for Whey protein blend when you have specialized protein powders with Whey,egg and Casein.

Its simple science, Whey is just better with the best Biological value*. This means that your body will better absorb and use the protein source from Whey more than any other source, therefore no wastage. Egg is also a great resource, which is just behind Whey. However in real world it lags behind Whey substantially, even the delayed absorption rate cannot compensate much. Scientifically it has been proven that Whey is just better, since it doesn't tax your digestive processes as much as an egg protein.

Question of Casein:
Its true that Casein has an edge when it comes to delayed absorption. Its anti-catabolic properties and slow absorption makes it an ideal night time protein. This said, its best when you take Casein in concentrated from, i.e. if you need Casein, take only Caesin, do not mix it with Whey... Why do I say this, Its a big topic based on metabolism response(will add a different thread later). One last thing 24 grams of Whey protein is NOT equal to 24 grams of Casein as the Biological value of Casein is lower than Whey.However Caesin does have its own benifit of delayed response, provided you actually need it.

*Biological Value: Biological value (BV) is a measure of the proportion of absorbed protein from a food which becomes incorporated into the proteins of the organism's body.

Last Thoughts:
Always keep a note of how much protein you are consuming from Supplements Vs straight from the food. Ideally one should keep protein sources from supplements under 25%, but if your life style is demanding and you are unable to get hold of good meals rich in protein, you should always keep your protein dependency under 50%. In layman terms, for most of us who are looking for fitness, keep it not more than 2 scoops/day. For those who really pump some heavy Iron keep it upto than 3 scoops/day. (let me know if you wish to know the science behind this)

In the end Supplements are only Supplements. The word Supplement has a lot of Drama attached to it, as if, if you don't take a protein shake within 30 minutes of your work out.. you will never make good gain. Total Crap. This is not a make or break factor(its just beneficial). Baring few exceptions. Supplements adds up only 20 percent of your fitness equation.

In the real world, for over 90% of us. The fitness equation is something like this.

A Intensity and Regularity of Workout: 30- 35%
B Lifestyle and Nutritional Choices: 40- 50%
C Supplements : 0 - 20%

So the most important thing is to focus on A%B. Once you have maximized A and B, think about C

4Some Good, Some Bad, and But Not Ugly...

I like this product. Let me first start by saying that I do not think this is "the BEST" protein product ever. However, I've tried many protein products and this comes rather close.

In my honest opinion, "the BEST" protein product out there would have to be "Profect" by Protica Research. It's actually the stuff used by gastric bypass patients. It's 25 grams of high-absorb protein in only 2.7 fluid oz that literally tastes like fruit candy. But, it's way too expensive and a two-months supply can set you back a couple of hundred bucks easily. Because of this, it's better suited strictly toward its medical purposes.

This product is also not the "most cost-effective". There are plenty of other whey products out there that are much much cheaper and have just as much protein content, but they all pretty much taste like doo doo. What's the point in torturing yourself to save a few bucks? Cost is definitely an important factor, but not the most important.

Apart from all of the hype and apart from all of the hate, I would say that I really do like this product. It tasted a bit gross with just plain water, but when I added it to a cup of enriched soymilk, I couldn't tell the difference between it and a regular kid's chocolate milk shake. That is amazing. And this product did mix pretty well. I usually have problems with that when it comes to powdered shakes and it's always great when you can get a shake that doesn't just sit on the bottom of the cup and cement while everything else just floats to the top. I even added a serving of Benefiber fiber supplement, and it still didn't clump up.

One problem that I have with this product is that it does use artificial sweeteners, but I'll let that slide for now, since I don't intake too many products with them anyway. Still, it is a cause for concern for those you who want to avoid such things in your diet entirely.

Overall, 4 of of 5 stars. I'm pleased but not impressed. This product is definitely one of the superior brands out there but most definitely not a "gold standard". A lot could be done to improve it.

When it comes to a no non-sense protein powder, one that has extras such as glutamine and BCAA's, and at the same time has a minimal amount of fat and carbs...this is the protein to get. This isn't a meal replacement or should be used as one, if that's what your looking for try muscle milk which is high in protein but also other calories as well.

This is your post-workout protein shake plain and simple. I always add one banana either in the blender or just eat it separately, and when I'm in bulking phase I'll also add one tablespoon of peanut butter and bam, you have yourself a meal replacement too if that's what you prefer. 5Working For Me

I saw this on Dr. Oz like everyone else and tried to buy with no luck it seemed to solded out, so I recently found in local store for $30, but I will order here next time anyway. So far they have been working for me with my munchies, I have not had those cravings like I use to. I am on Medi-Fast and I was on again off again with the diet because it is so restrictive, and by the end of the day I would eat something not on the diet and mess up, but since I have been taking Raspberry ketones, I have gotten through the days just fine, not even having the late night munchies, this is AWESOME! for me, I incorporated some excerciese today and watched to see if I would get hungry after the workout or later due to the increase activity on a LCD, but nope I feel pretty good, and I know I can achieve my medifast program with a little extra help from the raspberry keytones. Everything is not for everyone but if you struggle with weight and food cravings give a try, I cant say if its helping with increase fat loss yet I will judge after more time has gone by. 5Easy - Fast - Painless - Works for me!

This is the second time I have used this 'Smart For Life' diet. I went on it about a year and a half ago. I lost almost 50lbs in 3 months. Since then I have slipped and gained back 15. I'm on it again and this time it will be for only a month or so.

I have read a lot of negative reviews about this diet, most of them from people who were unsuccessful and tried to modify the course.

READ THE DIRECTIONS!

It is very simple: One cookie and one 16oz bottle of water every 2 hours. I nibble on the cookie and sip the water. I try and take as long as possible with eating. My schedule is 8am, 10, 12, 2, 4, and a light dinner at 6. the last cookie at 8pm if needed. For dinner I usually have chicken breast and vegetables. Or canned soup with frozen vegetables added. I drink a lot of crystal light too. Be careful with sweets including no calorie sweet things. The sweets stimulate your hunger.

READ THE DIRECTIONS. You will lose your hunger after the first day or so. Count your Carbohydrates. You want to stay under 100 grams a day. Six cookies at 105 calories each and a 300 to 400 calorie meal equals 900 to 1,000 calories a day. There is no way you will not lose weight unless you cheat.

I like the Oatmeal cookie. The chocolate chip were too sweet for me and the blueberry tasted too artificial. I wrap them in a paper towel and microwave for 10 seconds. I originally bought the big kit which had soup and shakes. I still have the soup and shakes. Uck!

I also take vitamins twice a day and some fiber tablets. You will lose a lot of bulk and may become constipated.

Take a little walk every day, I walk out from my house for ten minutes and then turn around and walk back.

My blood pressure dropped 15 points, my glucose went down under 100. I weigh myself first thing in the morning and record it on a calendar. It is just amazing to watch the pounds fall off.

4Great meal replacement solution

Although these are geared for weightloss goals, I bought them as a meal replacement solution because I have irritable bowel syndrome and when I'm at work I need to be careful what I eat. In the past I've avoided eating during the day because I never know what is going to bring on stomach problems. These cookies are very easy on the stomach and because you eat one every two hours it keeps you from being hungry. I will admit the first bite I took I was really questioning whether I could eat these everyday. They do taste a little like cardboard if you eat them cold. They are pretty bland. If you heat them in the microwave for ten seconds somehow it magically makes them tastier. What I love about these cookies are they are healthy (all organic), keep me from being hungry all day, and are so easy and portable. I eat them for breakfast, lunch, and snacks and it's nice that each day's worth of cookies comes in a sealed package so you can grab it on your way out the door. I'm on my 2nd order of these cookies (2 weeks' worth per order) and I'm really happy with them and have come to enjoy the flavor. I am not using these as a weightloss tool, although I do believe if you are used to eating unhealthy food and switch to this you will lose weight because of the calorie restriction (each cookie is 105 calories and you eat six per day). I would recommend these and hope Amazon continues to sell them.

4Love the chocolate chip ones

I need to lose about 30 pounds and my problem is that I don't eat very much. I have a pretty sedentary lifestyle. I never eat breakfast, a small lunch and a reasonable dinner that sometimes includes fattening foods but not everyday.

After reading online about dieting, I read that your body can go into starvation mode and hold on to fat if you do not eat enough. My problem is I am just not hungry in the morning. For anything. So I decided that I would buy these cookies and force myself to eat one every two hours as instructed and coupled with a weight loss program (I bought a treadmill and reviewed it on Amazon) would get my butt in gear, literally.

After two weeks of eating these cookies and having a Lean Cuisine or similar type dinner, and other than my one morning cup of coffee every day, drinking only water, I lost about 11 pounds. I was pleased but wondered if I would become dependent on these cookies and have to buy them forever. I'm sure the company would love that but my wallet would not. So I began substituting: a single granola bar instead of a cookie, an apple instead of another, a 100 calorie bag of microwave popcorn, a 100 calorie McDougall's soup. I still eat a cookie or two every day but sometimes you're not in the mood for something sweet and cake-like; you want real food. The soup is great for that, as is the popcorn.

I view these cookies simply as an addition to my changed eating habits and just another option for my every-few-hours-snack. There is a wide range of views regarding the taste of these cookies. I only have tried the choco chip ones and I think they are great. They are very cake-y and break a bit easy. If you have them stored in a warm kitchen, sometimes you have to pry the top cookie from the bottom one but it's not so bad.

I rated this four stars because the first box I got from Amazon did not have the Program Guide that's stated in the product page; it was just the packs of cookies. I got a replacement from Amazon and that one did not have the guidebook either. I think the booklet-- while not totally necessary to have-- really should be included. There is no downloadable one on the company's website, which is a shame.

Consult with your doctor before you try anything!!!! I was making the mistake of taking Chinese diet pills. I showed them to my doctor and he told me that some of the ingredients cause cancer and liver failure. I showed these to him and he said the ingredients are safe to take and would most likely work but everyone is different so some people might see greater results. I am going to give these a try and see how well they work for me.
